Yep, great burgers here! These burgers are good. The kind of ones you get at nice restaurant. I guess the idea is offering that kind of burger in a fast food environment. Burgers are superior to the ones of normal fast food joints, and more expensive. But it's still good value for your money. They cook your burger after you order it. You won't be eating something that has been sitting for a while. No microwave heating you burger here! (like burger King for example). Fries are great. I ordered the regular size (there is a large one too) and they gave a ton of them, twice as much as other places portions. They taste good and are fresh. Heck, everything tastes fresh. If you want a better burger and are willing to spend a bit more (not a lot more since mediocre combos at places like McDonald's are $6-$7), this place is a good option.

YUM! I've been to Five Guys three times now, once when they first opened, and twice this week. The first time I was pleased, but not wowed, so that's why I didn't return for so many months. First visit: I ordered the veggie sandwich, which is just a hamburger bun filled with your choice of any of their free toppings. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, but I found the sandwich as a whole to be nothing special. It was cold and not that satisfying. I also had the Cajun style fries, and I didn't really care for them. I think it's a bit cruel to serve spicy fries at a place that doesn't offer milkshakes! Second visit: I decided to go with the grilled cheese this time- no bun with this one- just two slices of perfectly grilled bread (sourdough, I believe) with American cheese and your choice of toppings. I tried it with lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup & mustard. Warm, cheesy goodness with plenty of fresh stuff to cut through the fat. We went with the regular fries this time and they were crispy and tasty, with a very generous portion for the price. Third visit: Had to go back; kept thinking about that grilled cheese. This time I got all the same toppings as before but added grilled mushrooms and onions, raw green peppers, and pickles. So incredibly good. In fact, I'd say this is the best vegetarian sandwich to be had in Highlands Ranch. And definitely the best $3 sandwich I've had anywhere. Right now, I'm sitting here in the middle of what's promising to be a proper blizzard and all I can think about is if I'll be able to brave the icy streets tomorrow to go to Five Guys for lunch. Mmmmmmm.

Best fast-food/fast-casual burger in town! It's as simple as that. Burgers are juicy and the buns are so tasty. The fries (I prefer the Cajun) are really good too.

Great food, and plenty of great fries. TIP: Don't order the large fry--the regular is sufficient for a couple of people. Only downside, is that it's easy to overindulge!

My kids and I like this place... they have a comfortable atmosphere that your kids can destroy without wondering who you are offending...Decent burger... Fries are piled high.. good price.

Just the best burger available! I rarely eat burgers, but when I do I make a point to get to 5 guys. It's just awesome!

OK...not sure what all the hype is. Burgers are good...messy.

Decent Burgers, but NO shakes. In-n-out, when are you coming to Colorado?

This was one delicious burger! My husband and I are fans of burgers and fries. Whether it's burgers grilled in our backyard or a fabulous burger joint, we enjoy a good burger and like to try out a variety of burger joints (but not fast food!) I'd heard a lot of good things about Five Guys Burger and Fries, but we didn't have one is our area. We recently relocated and found there was one nearby our temporary housing. We were tired from the road trip and decided to give Five Guys a try. We weren't disappointed! The regular burger is actually two patties and the ratio of bun to cheese to meat was perfect. The ground beef was fresh and seasoned well, with the added flavors complementing but not overpowering the meat. My hubby was a huge fan of all the topping choices from grilled onions to mushrooms at no extra charge. (And his inner spirit of thriftiness was doing a happy dance, I'm sure.) The fries are fresh cut daily and fried in pure peanut oil. A sign next to register tells you their city of origin and ours were raised in Idaho. Your meal is served up hot and fresh in a brown paper bag. The dining room definitely has an upscale fast food feel, clean and bright, with lots of windows & red accents. You can see the food being prepared just past the ordering counter. The tables were nearly full throughout our entire meal. Five Guys is definitely a popular spot. We will definitely be returning. I only wish they had milkshakes to go with their quality burgers & fries!

This place is great! I came from Florida so I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to 5 guys on the western side of the US but the burgers were just like Florida! I will admit the fries here are very bad compared to the ones I've had in Florida. But once again the burgers are fantastic. You can order them however you want, insane amount of options available! If you're looking for something delicious and filling in the form of a burger, this is a great place to go!

Is there really a better place for a cheese burger and fries ?

Greasy and not worth your time. Go to Green Light Grille on 10047 Park Meadows Drive in Lone Tree if you want great burger. Their fries are to die for. The fries at 5 guys are like something they toss out at the end of the day over there! oh, and it's really cheap too!

Still one of the best burgers in Denver! Tip: Add lots of toppings.. I think I have gotten up to 9 so far and my burger keeps on tasting better.

The burgers are great, especially with bacon! Fries aren't bad either, but I'd rather go elsewhere if I'm going to be spending $15 on a meal. (Burger, drink, fries)

  • Armin S.

The burger is not that great. Every time I have gone there, it seems that patties are either pre-made or kept out in the open for so long that by the time you get your burger, it's a lukewarm patty that is served to you. And there is no taste to it either. The only saving grace is their fries and that too I have to especially ask them to make them extra crispy. Please note that the staff that works at this location is very warm and friendly, it just seems that the Five Guys process is bad which causes the delay in time from grill to the customers plate and therefore the room temperature kind of patty being served to you...

To be clear, it's not a 5-star restaurant. It's 5-stars in it's fighting weight. I don't know what the term is - it's not fast food and it's not a sit-down burger joint, it's somewhere in between. Everything is freshly made to order, however it only takes about four minutes from order to food-in-hand. Just enough time to get your drink (there's about 20 soda and tea choices), grab some free peanuts and check your phone. I tend to order the same thing here - a cheeseburger with a small cajun fry. It's enough for a meal and then a snack the next day. The small fries are about 5 times the size of fast-food chains and the cheeseburger is actually two patties and all the toppings you can handle. If' you haven't tried the cajun fries then you're not being very nice to yourself. The burgers are not greasy as some other people have said, it's just that they don't cook to crap out of the burgers so there's some residual fat left and it makes it juicy like they should be. The veggies are easily the freshest you'll find, especially the thick cut pickles. I love the energy in this place. I always get a genuinely warm welcome and the manager on duty usually comes around to chat for a second and see if everything is okay. The price is a bit high, but you get what you pay for. It's very large (the manager said it was one of the largest they have) so you'll have no problem finding a seat. They have lots of high tops and regular tables.

Five guys is an amazing place to go for a delish burger and fries. Sometimes a guy just craves some grease and places like Wendy's or Burger King doesn't cut it. They use fresh meat and homemade fries. I suggest getting the Cajun fries, they are so bomb! On top of it all, it seems like they know their regulars by name which tells me they care about their customer base.

  • Shira Y.

The perfect five-dollar burger. Peanuts to snack on. Now there are milkshakes! What more could you ask for? The fries are great though I usually pass on them. Great for lunch and relatively late-night dinner.

  • Jeff B.

I'm a huge biased five guys fan. I get a double burger fix with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapeños, garlic, lettuce tomato protein style and I'm good to go. Fries are the bomb too especially with Cajun spice. If they did milkshakes that would be awesome. It doesn't really matter which five guys I go to. It seems everyone is happy and has a good attitude - that's good business.

  • Mike S.

Juicy patties, $6 double burgers and lots and lots of fries are what distinguish this place. Other things I like are a variety of free toppings and free peanuts in the Shell. Severe allergy sufferers take note the nuts are sitting in boxes as you walk in. Probably lots of nut dust planning on killing you instantly. They make a big deal about their fresh potatoes but I honestly can't see the impact as the fries are good but not great. Maybe all that frying renders the freshness moot.

This place is like two amateur lovers in the night. Slippery and sloppy. I managed to talk my friend into trying this place out after a hard day of doing absolutely nothing, and boy was it a great choice. I ordered the "Top-End" Bacon Cheeseburger with "Everything." This was also accompanied by a massive bag of fries and a ice cold coke. Firstly the burger was fantastic. For five bucks I don't think you could get anything better. My burger was loaded with literally ten tons of cheese, condiments, and meat. It was a challenge to get it all down without losing the important bits along the way. The fries however were good, but personally I enjoy mine a bit crispier. These were more on the softer side - nevertheless quite tasty. I'd gladly give FIve Guys five stars, however their fries were't the ideal model of fry perfection in my "foodtopian" world. Either way though, this is still a great place to check out!

  • Jefferson H.

I have been here a few times and I was never overly-impressed with this place. The staff is always friendly but the food is average and very greasy. There are plenty of burger joints that are just as good if not better.

  • Kris M.

I had heard so much about Five Guys, how it was amazing and blew every other burger place out of the water, etc, etc. After having visited the one in Highlands Ranch, I have to say I'm disappointed. The burger was decent, particularly for fast food, but it wasn't exactly amazing, especially for the price they're asking. The cajun fries were good, but super greasy - I only ate about half in one sitting and put the rest back in the paper bag for later; an hour later, the entire bag was translucent and there was a grease spot on my car seat. I suppose if you're getting burgers for fast food, you could definitely do worse than Five Guys, but it didn't make me gaga over their food, nor is it a place that I really have a strong desire to return to.

  • Nick M.

The burgers here are great, almost as good as In-N-Out. Be prepared to build your burger from a nice list of toppings. Be sure to order the small fries which can easily be shared by 2 or 3 people.

    (4)
  • Ashley H.

The burgers cost a pretty penny but the taste like a million bucks. Super yummy and the fries seem to be endless here. A small is more than enough for 2 people. This one is nice because the staff is some of the friendliest folks in Highlands Ranch. Worth stopping in for sure. And be warned about the fries. If you get a large and you finish them you're just crazy...CRAZY I TELL YOU! or just really hungry I guess.

  • Jena R.

Nothing out of the ordinary. Nice options for extra toppings, but in my opinion if you can't eat a burger and fries after they have sat for a while, you shouldn't bother eating it hot; the quality is just not there with these ingredients. Definitely doesn't compare with In 'n Out if you know what I'm talking about! This is just one step up from fast food to my tongue. Sure, it is a fun place with cool options. It all sounds good on the menu, but if you want a good burger, keep looking. On the bright side, service was great.

  • Sunshine L.

Delicious burgers! Cajun fries are delicious! Really inexpensive. Quick tip - if you don't have a huge appetite like myself order the small cheeseburger and split and order of fries with someone. Perfect portion!

  • Aryanne A.

I LOVE this place. It is honestly the best burger and the best fries I have ever put in my mouth. You can add all the toppings you want. My favorite thing is they always state "Today our potatoes are from..." I think it's cute. But I defiantly think everyone needs to eat here Atleast once in their life. The workers are always super friendly and nice :) it's an interesting atmosphere!

  • Eric L.

Five guys is good, but not great. I like how many options they have to top your burger and the patties are tasty and juicy. I love the free peanuts and the side of fries is enough to feed 2-3. I also get a kick of the board that shows you where the potatoes for the day came from as it is usually a small town in Idaho that I have driven through in my college days. The reason for the three star review is that the burger overall just doesn't compare to similar places like Lark Burger or Smash Burger. The buns don't stand up well if you get a lot of toppings. Also, I feel like this place needs to have milk shakes to really be complete and a true competitor to similar companies.

Reliable and tasty burger with hand cut fries, not to mention the excellent customer service at this five guys location

I really don't understand all the hate for Five Guys, but maybe it's because of the popularity. How can you hate a place that screams, "FIVE GUYS!" when you enter. Let's talk about food, though. Five Guys is known for having fresh ingredients and varying prices based on the cost of food. Fine. Does it hold up? Yeah! Sure, the menu is simple, but the burgers are always cooked to perfection and the ingredients are very fresh. Want a simple great burger every time at a price that's right? Five Guys is for you. Want a burger with a thousand extra calories and taste? Then this place isn't for you and you should probably go to Crave Burger or something. Verdict: worth it.

  • Stan L.

The only time I went here I ordered a burger medium.I was told thst they only cook them well done. Since I was hungry, I accepted this. Needless to say I will never go to any 5 Guys restaurant again.

    (1)
  • Ryan R.

Five Guys is better than In and Out although more expensive and the fries aren't as good. I like Five Guys burgers. Drippy, meaty and large. Even the small burger is huge.

    (4)
  • Ryan J.

Good food but prices have really gone up since they started out. It seems to be hurting business as its lunch hour with only three employees because there isn't a lot of traffic in here. When you raise prices 20-40%, that's what happens.

    (3)
  • Michael I.

Now that my wife has to avoid both gluten and soy, I appreciate Five Guys even more. They'll switch your bun to a lettuce wrap for no charge, and they take the allergy issue seriously. Plus, their fries are cooked in peanut oil rather than soybean oil, so we can even have those. Heck yeah! I've personally discovered that I like the lettuce wrap option even more than the bun, but maybe I'm weird.

    (5)
  • Todd R.

I am always looking for a good burger and I love trying new places. I continue to find Five Guys at the top of my list. I order the same thing everything; cheese burger, lettuce wrap with tomatoes, jalapeños, mustard, onion and pickles. Works for me, luv the crunch and the spice.

  • Brittany V.

I thought I had no business ever setting foot in a Five Guys since I'm a vegetarian. But one weekend my husband wanted to stop in, and I discovered 2 vegetarian items on the menu--a cheese sandwich and a grilled cheese. Well then! I tried the cheese sandwich and was really pleasantly surprised. It doesn't sound that exciting, but the ingredients were so fresh and the cheese was melted so nicely that it was really good. I didn't feel like I was missing out at all. The fries weren't so much for me--a lot of salt and seasoning. But that's just my personal taste. My husband loved his cheeseburger and fries. The staff was really nice, helpful, and fun. Good experience all around.

  • Joe F.

These are a great burger. Portion sizes are large and the price is in line with that. I completely disagree with anyone that calls them "greasy", they are juicy and not overcooked. Most places don't cook meat right anymore and people have become accustomed to dry, overcooked hamburger. If you want a great hamburger (and fries) try Five Guys. If you just want something to fill your stomach hit the drive through, dollar meal, like you had to do before Five Guys.

  • Laura C.

We lived in the NoVa/DC area when Five Guys started years ago out there and we loved it. However, I'm not a fan now that they've expanded. The food is not consistent at all and I've found both the burgers and fries to be really mushy the last couple of times we've gone. I like Smashburger, Crave, and Freddy's better (and yes, for those who have compared it to In and Out - it's much better, no comparison in my mind!) Three strikes and you're out Five Guys. :-/

I AM ADDICTED TO FIVE GUYS! This location wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon. They were quick and the clerk was very sweet, offering me a cup for water when I didn't order a drink. (I had water int the car.) He seemed very concerned that I wasn't ordering a drink. It was nice that he cared so much :)

    (5)
  • Jim D.

Greasy bland burgers. Not sure why this place gets such high ratings. The fries were good but all 3 of us stopped eating the burgers a few bites in. My youngest ate her hot dog, so I'm guessing that was ok. Staff was friendly but we won't eat here again.

5G's serves pretty good all beef burgers that are available with a good selection of free toppings of your choice. A Little Cheeseburger is $4.29 with 550 calories and 32g of fat. Add bacon and it jumps to $5.09 with 630 calories and 39g of fat. All the burgers are made to order and take about 5-8 minutes. Regular fries cost $2.59 for a ridiculous portion of thick hand cut Idaho potatoes that can easily feed 2-3 people. 5G's only serves burgers, dogs, fries, and drinks. No malts, shakes, or onion rings which is a big short coming in my book. Anyone with peanut allergies take notice before entering a 5G's. They have boxes of complementary peanuts to snack on while you wait for your order to be completed and the fries are cooked in peanut oil.

We came to this Five Guys on a Saturday afternoon. Talk about birth control for DINKs--the ratio of screaming kids to adults had to be at least 3:1. This place is huge and bustling. For some reason though, they only have one-holers for bathrooms, which wouldn't normally be a problem except for the 3:1 kid ratio mentioned above. I'd probably rate the Arapahoe/Greenwood Village location a star higher just on these factors alone. In terms of the burgers themselves, they were ok, if you're looking for a greasy, sloppy mess of a burger. The fries were ok as well, though we didn't even come close to finishing the large fries, even when shared between two people. I am definitely more of a Smash Burger person--it's a much higher-quality burger and has less of a "cram as much food into your mouth for cheap" feel. For the record, my wife respectfully dissents with my two-star rating of Five Guys (she would give it three stars), but I'm the one with the keyboard :)

  • Jim T.

I sure wish these people would stop saying these burgers are greasy, they are simply juicy like they're supposed to be! You cannot get a better Burger in town. Five guys puts Freddys to shame. Steak and shake's not even close. I won't even mention fast food... I eat here once a week for lunch.

  • Jessie Q.

Ok, so this was the first five guys I went to and then we got one in HB. I just hit up the one in HB and it will not disappoint! The Cajun fries are epic and the burgers are tasty too...

Close enough to In-N-Out, but just not quite exact. Fries were good, too. I would definitely come back again.

    (4)
  • Jonathan T.

I like that there's a "meh" option. Good burgers and good fries. Give yourself plenty of time to wait because cooking is done on-demand and takes about 10 minutes. More people in line means longer wait time. They do have free peanuts, so nobody will starve.

    (2)
  • Eddie C.

I've been to 5GB's 3 times now and I have to say that the burgers here are pretty bland, and greasy. I usually get mine to go and they put it in a brown paper bag, by the time I get into my car the bag is soaked because the fries are so greasy. If you like grease then this is your place. The menu is limited (they don't serve shakes), and little toppings to put on your burger.

    (2)
  • Joanna N.

Went there the first time yesterday. Everybody talks about Five Guys so thought we would give it a try. The service was great. Very friendly staff. They have a great choice of toppings you can put on your burger which you can get all for free. The burger was ok. I didn't really get to taste the meat because my burger was smothered in ketchup and mustard to where it was soaked into my bun. They are kind of on the fence with me. I'm definitely willing to give them another try since the service was great and the place was very clean. Just maybe get my toppings on the side so I can taste how great the meat is!

I have heard nothing but good things about the hamburgers here. So I decided to look up the closest one to us, and we headed down to highlands ranch. This location is in the shopping center by whole foods and next to peiwei. I pull up and the parking lot is PACKED. We walk up and the whole restaurant is full. Not one table. We get in line, and there is a sign telling you where the potato's came from today to make the fries. The menu is simple. No frills. Fresh hand made patties line the flat grill and fresh cut potatoes fill the multiple friers. Hamburger or cheeseburger is about your choice, but they also have grilled cheese and hot dogs for the little ones. I tried the little cheese burger, the little cheeseburger only has one patty and the regular cheeseburger has two pattys. I wish I would've gotten the regular cheeseburger because the patty on the little burger didn't fill the whole bun, but I'll know for next time. You pick your own condiments which I really liked so then I didn't have to pick off anything I didn't want. The burger was really good! Juicy, cooked perfectly with just a hair of pink throughout . And the fresh cut fries were good as well but a little salty. My biggest concern was that they served no milkshakes!! I love a milkshake with my burger, but once again I will know to bring my own next time ;) With how many people were in this place on a Thursday I think they will be around for awhile and will be seeing me a lot as well.

  • David D.

You can order a single patty for cheaper!! That is the way to go.

  • Johnny K.

This is a great burger joint. Noisy, greasy, good. It's a cheeseburger and they are supposed to be that way. Good place for lunch, call ahead, pick up...sit and eat. PS, the french fries are a whole sack...way too much. Enjoy....enjoy...enjoy.

    (5)
  • Rachael K.

Whoa, that was a lot of food for a little money. The burgers were good, but not as amazing as I kept hearing they were. The fries were good, but I generally prefer them crispier. I really liked that they had so many toppings to chose from and the fact that the toppings were included in the price. Overall I'd give it three stars but considering that it's a fast food joint I went with the 4. The staff were helpful and prevented us from ordering the large fries. Do NOT order the large fries unless you have at least three friends to share them with. On my fastfood scale I'd go to Wendy's before Five Guys but to Five Guys before McDonalds or Burger King.

I wish Littleton, CO had something for 5 guys to compete with. BUT, that's life and thank goodness we have 5 guys. Sure we aren't talking about a gourmet burger here. We are talking about down and dirty fast food. I guess you can compare this place to a Smash Burger or a Phat Burger other than a drive through burger joint. But who cares about comparing....let's just say Thank You!!! thank you for such a wonderful, juicy, burger. Thank you for making a burger for those of us who just want flavor and aren't worried about the calories. Thank you from those of us who enjoy licking the grease off our fingers after shoveling the crispy fries into our mouths and washing them down with as much soda as we want. Besides, Colorado is ranked #1 as the most fit state, so let's eat big juicy burgers!!! Bring them on 5 guys!!!!

    (4)
  • Ruth C.

I must be missing the boat on this one. I didn't find anything special or amazing about the food here. Maybe it is because my kids made it sound so great and when I got there I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I love burgers, just didn't find the food here that special. Sorry!

  • Flavio G.

This is a hamburger place. If you have heard about In-N-Out, you know what I am talking here, but definitely these guys are much better. Made with juicy, tasty and tender beef patties. Start choosing from hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon hamburger or bacon cheeseburger. Add your choice of toppings from their huge free options. Toppings are added only if asked to. Fresh cut fries prepared right there. A sign telling you where potatoes are from to make the fries today. Amazing people! I will call them, the burger factory with very special touch. They rock!

  • Kelly M.

Will people please stop comparing burger places to In-and-Out! There is no comparison! Now that we got that out of the way.... Five guy is the closest thing to AWESOME when speaking of burgers in Colorado. This place has some damn good burgers and the fries are quite good too. I really enjoyed the burger not only because it was made to order but also because they do a little thing I REALLY love in a good burger joint...they toast the bun. Oh man, oh man this place is strait up finger lickin' good. Go on...give it a try.

    (5)
  • E G.

Skip it! The meat was tasteless and the bun was a cheap over processed burger bun like McDonalds. After unwrapping my burger I noticed that the bun was smashed with fingerprints on the top!! The fries are real potatoes and they still have the skins on them, which is cool. The fries are not crispy and are saturated in grease. Yes, you do get a lot of food for the money but the quality and taste is lacking. I'd skip this place and drive to Smashburger a couple miles west for better food.

  • Chris F.

It was a damn good burger, I finally broke down and visited Five Guys in Highlands Ranch. Great bun, tasty burger, I even ate a couple of fries (usually I ignore the fries no matter what). Why, WHY is everyone talking about In-N-Out Burger? My teen years were in Southern California and we all spent a whole lot of time hangin' out at the In-N-Out, now the closest one to Colorado is in Arizona. But the best thing about them was their bumper sticker... everyone used to cut off the ends of the sticker so that they had a bumper sticker which said "In-N-Out Urge"

I first encountered Five Guys on a short trip to Maryland and attempted to try it in the morning while I was there, but they were closed. After meaning to try it for quite some time in New York, I finally got the chance to put Five Guys in my mouth back in Colorado. I had heard some really great things about this place from my friends (one even went so far as to say it's better than In-N-Out), so I was expecting a lot. I ordered a cheeseburger and some fries to get a sampling of most of the menu. I must say I was a bit let down by my burger. Not to say that it wasn't tasty, but with that much grease, it really had to be. There just wasn't anything special about it like the sauce you get at some other places (e.g. In-N-Out). The fries were quite good, but definitely pricey. This restaurant, as all Five Guys restaurants I've seen so far, has an interesting minimalist design and feels really clean. The free peanuts are quite tasty and were definitely a nice touch. This place is definitely worth a try, but I think it's a little pricey for what you get.

Tried a bigger burger recently. Bigger burgers are better. Smaller ones are too dry. It is my belief that this holds true for all burger places. The folks behind the counter look like they have a lot of fun slinging the burgers & fries.

To clear up any confusion it is not Five Guys or Burgers & Fries. Unless they have a secret menu, you cannot order 5 dudes. (not that I tried). Anyway, this place was great! The line was to the door but it moved quick. The wait after ordering wasn't bad, enough time to snarf some free peanuts and Twitter (@derrinallen) about it. I got the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions & BBQ sauce. (besides cheese & bacon, all the toppings are FREE). Fries & a drink. The burger was big, loaded with onions and not to messy (more than McD's less than Red Robin). The frys were phenomenal. Fresh & homemade. The only downside is how pricey it is. But if your looking for a good greasy burger this is it. Check it out.

Loud, noisy, fun, and great burgers! They're fresh and delicious and you can have them made to order just the way you want. They have two burger sizes - regular and large is I recall. The regular is plenty big! The fries are really great. The atmosphere is fun - lots of funny signs on the walls and peanuts husks all over the place. It's easy to kick back and have a good time while you're there. My only complaint is that they don't have shakes!
